Most mini splits have set points that go down to 60F. However, it may be difficult for a mini split to get temperatures below 65F.
Whether you're trying to save energy, or get a specific low temperature, we recommend setting the room containing your mini split Inactive and using the Smart Away feature.
Saving Energy
With Smart Away, you'll define maximum and minimum temperatures. If the ambient temperature in the room goes outside the max or min, Flair will turn on the mini split to prevent extreme temperatures.
For example, if you have added a mini split to a garage space or other area that is not used frequently, set the room Inactive when not in use and set the Smart Away Minimum and Maximum to your temperature thresholds (50F and 80F, respectively, are recommended). Flair will prevent the space from getting too cold or too hot.
I want a specific low set point for my room
With Smart Away, you'll set the Smart Away Maximum and/or Minimum temperature to the low set point you desire for your rooms. Flair will keep the rooms at the maximum or minimum temperature.
For example, you may want your bedroom to be 64F when sleeping. During the cold season, schedule the room Inactive during sleeping hours and set the Smart Away minimum temperature to 64F. Flair will keep the room between 63F and 65F. During the warm season, set the room Active and use the room set point.
