Manual Testing
If Flair is not controlling your mini split, try testing in Flair Manual mode to ensure the code set is correct and that the Puck is in a good position to send commands to the mini split. See Testing Mini Splits in Manual Mode.
Remote Control
Once you're confident Flair is controlling your mini split, remove the batteries from your remote and place the remote in a drawer. Please do not continue to use the remote control.
Some remote controls have a "Follow Me" or "iFeel" mode what will continue to send commands to the mini split. Additionally, some remotes support scheduling that will also send additional commands to the mini split. Having commands coming from both Flair and the mini split's IR remote control can cause unpredictable or unexpected behavior by the mini split.
Room Sense
By default, Flair will send a mini split (or other IR device) a set point and allow the device to maintain the set point. Some mini splits (and IR devices) don't do a good job at managing the set point, and the room temperature will be off.
If you would like Flair to manage the set point, enable Room Sense. This will allow Flair to send set points to the IR device periodically, so the room temperature is correct.
