A Puck connected to WiFi we call a Gateway Puck. This Puck needs to be plugged into power, using the supplied USB cable and adapter. Gateway Pucks bridge other Flair devices to the internet.
A Puck using batteries, we call a Sensor Puck. A Sensor Puck can optionally be plugged into power and is not connected to WiFI.
Both Gateway and Sensor Pucks can act as temperature sensing devices and send commands to a mini split.
A Flair system requires at least one Gateway Puck.
