The temperature on the Puck may be slightly different than the temperature displayed in the Flair app. This could be due to a few reasons:
- Refresh rate in the Flair app
Flair refreshes temperature in the Flair app about every 60 seconds
- Refresh rate of the Puck display
Sensor Pucks update when there is a 2F (1.1C) degree difference in the room temperature
Gateway Pucks update when there is a 1F (.5C) degree difference in the room temperature
- Number of temperature sensing devices in a room: the Flair app displays the average of all temperature sensors assigned to that room (Pucks, integrated smart thermostats and ecobee/Honeywell room sensors)
- The Puck may need to be calibrated
The Puck update mechanisms are designed for conservative internet traffic usage and to ensure sufficient life expectancy of batteries. Most smart-home products operate in this manner.
You can also view temperature data over time in the statistics graphs. These graphs show the most accurate and up-to-date temperature information. See Statistics: Signal Strength, Set Point, Room Temperature.
Note: Temperatures displayed in Fahrenheit are rounded to the nearest degree. Temperatures displayed in Celsius are rounded to the nearest half-degree.
