Flair Puck's lowest heat temperature?
I'm thinking of buying a Flair Puck for use with a mini split system in a vacation home, but first, I want to know how low the Puck can set the heat to. I've tried a few other devices like this, but they will allow me to set the heat down to 60F, which is unnecessarily warm for a house that's unoccupied most of the time. I just need to keep it warm enough to prevent the pipes from freezing. The original remote for the mini split will allow me to set the temperature to 50F, which is fine.

We generally will let you set things down to 50. For controlling a minisplit, if the remote only goes down to say 60, you can set it lower but it needs to be done through the Smart Away feature which will turn off the unit and then turn it on/off to keep it around 50. If the remote goes all the way down to 50, we will let you set it to 50 regardless of home/away. Hope that helps!

It's a Mitsubishi mini split, and normally, the heat will go down to only 60F or 61F. However, it has a "smart set" button, and when I press that, I can set the heat down to 50F. So before I leave the house for a few days, I press the "smart set" button which sets the heat down to 50F. And when I get back home, I press that same button again, which returns the heat to what it was before (usually 67F). It's really convenient, and I'm hoping to not lose that functionality.

Thanks for the explanation. We don't currently have an explicit 'smart set' feature however in the past we have worked around that by mapping certain range extending features to say 50 or 59 or something like that. It can be a bit misleading/confusing for a user not expecting so we generally don't love doing the manufacturer/model specific features but I can certainly appreciate the desire to have that feature be available, even if in a slightly obfuscated way. If its too weird/confusing, we can make a custom codeset (would need to loop in support) and get it added.
