Backpressure protection when vent sizes vary
How does Flair account for different registers being designed to deliver different cfm’s? For example, a register in a small bedroom might only be designed for 50 cfm, but in a larger room a single register might deliver 125cfm. If Flair closes 1/3 of the registers, that could have a dramatically different effect on the pressure depending on which registers are closed. Is there any way that can be accounted for?

The short answer is that previously most of our sizes were relatively similar so this wasn't as much of an issue. We are doing some work to add more size consideration into our algorithms but the interim solution is that if you believe that you need a higher floor on CFMs, you can tell the system you have fewer vents and it will further limit the number of closed vents.
