Pucks with low to no signal bars
AnsweredHello,
I am struggling keeping 5 pucks all connected and doing what they are supposed to do. The biggest issue is those pucks farther away from the main puck are losing their signal. It's clear that I need to either move the main puck or need to rejigger my router location more centrally. Frustratingly, keeping a puck plugged in and not being an eyesore will pose issues if I move the main one, however, the system is pretty useless as they all tend to drop off or sporadically take commands. I am still not clear as to whether the range issue is my wifi or the radios in the pucks. If it's the wifi, that shouldn't be an issue if it is the puck itself, then they broadcast ability is quite low.
Any thoughts or suggestions in keeping the pucks all connected would be great otherwise these things need to go back (if I can send them back), because they are far from meeting my expectations.
Thanks,
-

Hi Timothy,
Do you know how your house is built? If so, by any chance are the walls stucco or plaster with a wire lath? Alternatively, are there any large metal objects between these Sensor Pucks and your Gateway (large metal desk, a metal washing machine, etc.).
Alternatively, you could make one of the further-away Pucks a Gateway to see if that helps.
