Heating the basement while cooling certain rooms upstairs

Hello,

I'm looking to heat my basement, while then cooling the kid's room upstairs.

 

Last night, it was 65F in the basement, while it was 74 in the kid's room.

At that time daily, there is a scheduled setpoint of 72 for the Basement, and 68 for the kid's room.

All other rooms in the house were set to inactive.

Basement and Kid's room each have Flair vents, and Ecobee sensors.

The basement status showed that the flair vent was open for heating, however hvac never kicked on.  I tried to goose it by manually changing the basement setpoint to 85, but even then, the furnace never started.

However, once I left the basement, and the Basement was set to inactive, and the Master Bedroom was active for cooling, AC kicked in and took care of both the Master Bedroom and the Kid's room.

Any ideas why heating didn't kick in for the basement?

    Update:  It appears I may have had Ecobee controlling the house, instead of Flair app, so it would have prevented the HVAC from being controlled by Flair.  Support changed this in the background around that time.  I'll see how things work tonight.
