    That makes sense as I am running my vents on battery. The vents probably go into a low power mode for a minute or so at a time and then wake up briefly to check for updates. I wonder if they update...

    3. Any luck adapting vent sizes?

    These trim kits reduce the vent opening size. It seems to me that this would work only if you want the maximum heating and cooling in that room to be reduced.
