I ended up cutting the hole to the size i needed and using some tape to cut off air flow for the extra space.

I have the same question on increasing the vent opening size. Currently I have 2 vent holes that are about 4"x8", so I'd want to add about 2 horizontal inches to make it 4"x10". I'd like to do the ...
