Existing Flair Nest Integrations
If you integrated your Nest with Flair before August 31, 2019, do not migrate your Nest account to a Google account. Migrating your Nest account will permanently disconnect your Flair Nest integration and you will not be able to reverse this.
If you need to convert your Nest account to a Google account to use certain Google products, Flair will still work with your Nest as a non-integrated thermostat. You'll need to remove your Nest integration from Flair and then re-add an "Other" thermostat. Flair will still be able to control your Smart Vents.
New Flair Nest Integrations
On August 31, 2019, Google ended their "Works With Nest" program and replaced it with the new "Works With Google Assistant" program. This change ended all new Nest integrations with third party products, such as Flair, after that date. This means Flair cannot communicate with a Nest thermostat; but, Nest can still be used with Flair (see below).
Update: We were pleased to hear from Google Nest that they have opened up applications for the Device Access Console. Flair has applied to the Device Access Console and we're waiting to hear back from Google Nest. Because this process relies on a certain amount of back-and-forth from Google Nest, we unfortunately cannot give an ETA on when this process will be complete or when the integration will be up and running. We will inform our users when we have more information about the status of this integration.
How to use Nest with Flair
Currently, Nest can be used as a non-integrated thermostat with Flair to get great results! Many of our users use Nest - and other non-smart thermostats - in this way and get the full benefit of airflow control with Flair Smart Vents.
Flair will determine when to open/close Smart Vents based on room temperature from the Puck and the set points you give by either rotating the Puck or adjusting in the Flair app.
When adding a Nest thermostat to the Flair app, choose "Other":
