End of Works with Nest
Google has announced that on September 28, 2023, all current Works with Nest connections will no longer remain active.
This means all Flair customers using a Nest thermostat must do ONE of following prior to September 28, 2023:
- Convert your Nest account to a Google Nest account and migrate your Nest in Flair
- Do not convert your Nest account to a Google Nest account, remove your Nest from Flair, and add it as a non-integrated thermostat to Flair
If choosing option 2, Flair will still control Smart Vents to manage airflow in your home, but will no longer be able to control your Nest.

What Google Nest Thermostats are Compatible with Flair?
All Google Nest thermostats are compatible with Flair. However, Google Nest has not made its remote sensors available for integration, so Google Nest remote sensors cannot be imported to Flair.
Does Nest allow Flair to use its Room Sensors?
Nest does not provide support for 3rd party products, like Flair, to access their room sensor data. Once Nest opens up the integration and allows access to the data from their remote sensors we will implement this and you will be able to refresh your integration to include the sensors in your Flair home.
Integrate a New Google Nest Thermostat with Flair
- In Flair, go to Home Settings->Integrations and select Google Nest:
- Select the Google Account associated with your Google Nest thermostat:
- Enable BOTH of these permissions to allow Flair to see your Google Nest home and devices (Nest thermostat) and to have read/write access to your Google Nest thermostat. Note: If you have multiple homes in your Nest account, you have to enable permissions for EACH home.
"Allow Flair - Climate Control to see information about your home"
"Allow Flair - Climate Control to access and control your thermostat" - Google will then ask you to confirm your permissions choices:
- Once integrated, Flair will display each Google Nest home it found. Select the Google Nest home to associate with this Flair home. Note: You may only associate one Google Nest home to one Flair home.
Migrate an Existing Nest Thermostat in Flair
If you already have a Nest thermostat added to Flair, you may now migrate your existing Nest account to a Google Nest account and then integrate your Google Nest account with Flair.
The steps are a little different depending on whether you added your Nest to Flair as an integrated smart thermostat prior to 2019, or if you added it as a non-integrated thermostat.
