How do create a zone with just a flair puck/thermostat?
how do you set up a zone for a Flair puck? Instructions say select a thermostat brand but don't list Flair as a brand. Then I can't create a room without a zone. Catch 22

The puck is not a thermostat even if it looks a lot like one. A thermostat is the device controlling your HVAC system. If you have one thermostat in your home, you will have one zone, 2 thermostats(or mini-splits) = 2 zones, etc. You can divide that up further by having multiple "rooms" which is how you will separate multiple pucks if you have them.
So, you select one of the supported smart thermostats, mini-splits, or select "other" for a dumb thermostat or unsupported smart thermostat.

To create a zone with a Flair Puck/thermostat, follow these steps:
1. **Install the Puck:** Place the Flair Puck in the desired zone. Ensure it's connected to your Wi-Fi network and linked to the Flair app.
2. **Connect to HVAC:** If using a mini-split or another ductless system, the Puck can directly control it. For central systems, connect the Puck to compatible smart vents or use it with the Flair Hub for broader system control.3. **Configure in the App:** Open the Flair app, navigate to the "Zones" section, and create a new zone. Assign the Puck to this zone.
4. **Set Preferences:** Set your desired temperature and schedule for the zone within the app.
This setup allows the Puck to monitor and regulate the temperature independently in that specific area, creating a customized climate zone.

Hi Tom Handza and William Thomas
I would like to clarify a couple of things here.
In Flair, a zone is created when a thermostat a mini split, window unit, or portable is added. A room is then associated with the zone that controls it.
For example, adding a thermostat called "Downstairs ecobee" will create a zone called "Downstairs ecobee". If that thermostat controls the Basement, Kitchen, Living Room, and Hallway, you'll want to make sure those rooms are associated with the "Hallway ecobee" zone.
Flair Pucks are assigned to a Room in Flair.
