8x12 vent support
I'm in texas, and with the new variable speed system they are installing, the supply vents are all being replaced with 8x12. Is I see an 8x10, but is the 8x12 coming?

We do not currently manufacture an 8x12 Flair Smart Vent. Please keep in mind that our Smart Vent sizes refer to the size of the duct opening and not the measurements of the vent cover itself.
We are looking into what sizes we will make next and we do track size requests; so, I have added your request for the size you mentioned. However, we cannot guarantee a timeline for when new shapes and sizes will be available. If we release 8x12 Smart Vents we will reach out to you and let you know.

If you purchase the vent but the opening is larger, as long as the mounting holes line up my business (empyrean3d) will support you. We have designed a trim kit that works with all Flair Co Smart Vent models. We can also accommodate many different colors.

Generally speaking, we see clients with 8x12 vent openings purchase either a 6x12 Flair unit (screws in left and right sides) or an 8x10 Flair unit (screws in top and bottom), depending on where the holes are in the current vent cover.
Our trim kits are designed so that the Flair unit screws pass through the trim kit and into the wall with no additional hardware, so as long as you can install the Flair unit into the vent opening without any additional adapter, our trim kit will cover any air gap around the edges.
Once you have selected the size Flair you need, if our standard trim kit does not accommodate the existing vent opening, we can work with you to customize the outer dimensions to suit your requirement.
