Flair Puck as replacement for Ambi Climate?
Hi, I'm evaluating a Flair Puck to replace all of my Ambi Climate devices. I loved the 4 years I had with the Ambi, but unfortunately they went out of business. I have a few questions about using the Puck to control my mini split units.
- Is it possible to set the minimum smart away to less than 50F? With the Ambi I had it set to 39F, so nothing in the garage froze, which worked well.
- Is it a hard limitation that I can't set the vane position for my LG mini split or is it just not available for the remote? With the Ambi I could set the vertical and horizontal vane positions on my LG and Mitsubishi mini splits.
- Will Flair go out of business too and leave me with $800 of ewaste?

Hi Patrick Emerick,
Thanks for writing in!
I will address questions 1 and 3 here and a member of our technical support team will reach out to you to discuss specifics regarding question #2.
The lowest value we allow you to specify as a Smart Away minimum is 50°F. Hopefully, this will work for you.
We are a small, growing company and are financially solvent so I wouldn't worry about us going out of business any time soon.
Regards,
The Flair Team
