New system install - adding a vent
I just installed my first smart vent, and it seems to be working as expected.
Currently, I have a bridge, one puck, and one smart vent, all communicating with my Nest thermostat.
If I want to add another smart vent, say in the bathroom, do I need an additional puck for that?
If so, does that mean each room where I install a smart vent requires its own puck to connect to the bridge?

Great to hear your setup is working well so far!
You don’t need to add a Puck in the bathroom just to use another Smart Vent. The vent will still communicate with your system through the Bridge. The main downside of not having a Puck in that room is that you won't be able to control the vent based on the temperature in the bathroom. Instead, you'll need to manually adjust it.
So while a Puck can add automation and temperature-based control for that specific room, it's optional depending on how hands-off you want the control to be.
Note: If that additional Smart Vent happens to be in the same location as the other Puck and Smart Vent you can add it to the same room.
