Hardwired vents, Better control?
I have hardwired (no batteries) a couple of my vents. Does the Flair system know that these are hardwired rather than using batteries?
Reason I ask was because months ago (prior to hardwiring) Flair support mentioned something about the vent not operating too often as to help save on battery. If the vents are hardwired then they don't need battery saving options. Does the system treat the hardwired vents differently than the battery ones? If not then this should be built into the system. Assuming the Flair system can tell the difference between the hardwired vents and the battery vents.

I would assume that the vent software is not aware of its power source. There is likely a small transformer and rectifier inside the vent that converts AC 24v down to the equivalent of the batteries (3.5v). If you look on the statistics page, the system reports the voltage input to the vents at 3.5v, and not 24v, so I believe the system doesn't know the difference.
