wireless internet required for puck ??

Using the puck in a drug room at a clinic. The only internet in the building is through Ethernet cables, there is no wireless. can I still use the puck?

Will be used with a Mirage magnum Inverter 16, mini split?

  The Puck is a cloud-based device and requires an internet connection at all times via WiFi.

  I know Flair answered the question, but couldn't you set up the device in a wifi "area" or create a wifi hotspot for the setup and then it could just "automatically" run once programmed? Or would it always need the wifi to run an automatic schedule?
