Custom Hysteresis band per zone
AnsweredHi, Can you please add a functionality in the Flair App to allow users to individually control the hysteresis band per zone?
While I think it's generally good practice to put a puck near where you most occupy the room so that that specific area is at the temperature you want, it's not always practical to do so because your only option may be to put a puck on an exterior wall or near a window which throws off the reading (especially here in Canada during winter) which is amplified in less efficient or older homes. So to give you an example, if I have my son's room (1 vent, 1 puck out of a total of 18 vents, 5 pucks and 1 thermostat for 6 zones) set to 22 degrees C, the Flair App will allow it to drop to 21 degrees C (although often it will drop 1.5 degrees C before the furnace turns on) and the temperature where my son's crib is may drop to 18C.
So if I had the ability to play around with an individual hysteresis band for that room, it would let me see what works to keep his area more constant without over-setting the temperature for the room. I'm not saying you need to let users put in any number but if you gave some options like 0.5C and 0.3C bands for each zone that would go along way to solving the problem. And the option per zone is important because my other rooms don't necessarily have these constraints and may be fine with a 1C band.
