Future Smart vent sizes
Are there any plans to offer square Smart vents in the future? I have an AC only system with ceiling vents that are square. 10x10; 8x8 & 6x6 I believe.

Is there any update on the addition of 10x10's? I need a bunch of them and have been holding out. I'm now discussing having my hvac company cut into the ceilings to retrofit the ducts to change the sizes of the outlets to accommodate your existing product at the 6x10 size... but I'd really prefer to wait if the launch of the 10x10 is imminent.

We are starting work on a number of new sizes. Squares (8x8, 10x10, and 12x12s) are in the design phase among others. I can't give a hard timeline just yet as design -> prototyping -> tooling -> test builds -> production run -> shipping has a good amount of lead time and timing uncertainty - just want to set expectations accordingly but also excited to finally be cranking on this!

So in a private support email on dec 22nd I did get this confirmation from Dan at Flair:
“We'll be making 8", 10" and 12" square Smart Vents in 2023. No plans to make a 14x14 yet.”
Hopefully that gives some hope for those looking for those sizes…sadly, for me, I have to figure out what to do with my bedroom with the 14x14 vent - as it’s the only one that doesn’t have a smart vent and was hoping a 14x14 would be coming down the pipeline :(

Chrissie, will Flair be offering Trim Kits like Keen has (https://keenhome.io/products/trim-kit) to accommodate square sizes that are larger than the square sizes you are currently manufacturing?

We do not plan to offer trim kits. We know that there is some value in being able to adapt a vent to an different size supply but we don't love the permanant occulsion that results in and are hesitant to promote doing that. There are certainly cases where homeowners know enough to do this and get good results but we have to be mindful of the broader set of customers, of which a decent % might end up with a suboptimal outcome. All that said, I suspect that with a bit of handywork with a drill, you could probably leverage the keen trim kits and our vents although I haven't tried this myself.

I second this, here in AZ we have temperature fluctuations from 65 at night to120 in the day. This would save a lot of energy here in the desert unfortunately all west coast homes have the standard 8x8 ceiling vents. Its been 2 years since the original ask, but any though on seeing 8x8 smart vents in the near future?

Glad to see the new square vents. Really bummed that a 14x14 wasn't included as I was "part of the customer feedback process" for this being active on the forum. With no 14x14 vent and no trim kit, I am stuck with one room that I can't get a flair vent for...any concrete plans for a 14x14 in the near future, or is this just a pipedream of mine? I just need to figure out what I want to do with this last bedroom. Thanks

I'm in southern California and in the main living spaces with vaulted ceilings you see these a lot on the walls. Thanks! Appreciate the ongoing interaction and feedback on size adjustments we can expect in the product! Existing Flair customer using some of the current sizes and am able to much better control the climate for comfort and consistency. Hoping 8x14 is in production or on the roadmap 🤞
