Feature request - differential/hysteresis/deadband
Hello, I like this platform/system, but there is one feature that would really help a lot.
Right now, I set a room to a desired temperature (on a puck) to let’s say, 67. The room heats up to 68, which feels great, not too hot. Then the vents close and never reopen until the room drops all the way below 66, which is really chilly. I could set the puck to 68, but the I have to deal with the room heating up to 69, which is a little too warm for sleeping.
It seems there’s a hardcoded (+-)1 degree differential / hysteresis built in, and it would be SO NICE to be able to change that to something like (+-)0.5 degrees.
If this won’t be added, is it possible for me to change via the api?
Thanks!

Hi Shawn,
You hit the nail on the head. We have a hysteresis value that is used to dictate when Smart Vents will open/close and when we will nudge an integrated smart thermostat that we have been set to control.
This value is known as the Vent & Thermostat Hysteresis, and is, by default, 0.9°F. We can adjust this to be 0.5°F for you.
I created an official support ticket for you and someone from our technical support team will be in touch shortly to let you know when this value has been updated for your home.
Please let them know if you have any other questions or issues that we can assist you with.
Thanks for being a valued Flair customer.
