Marketing Suggestion
A while back I responded to a thread about wanting a couple of Flair 8x14 inch registers to replace a couple of registers in my house. It occurred to me that not everyone one that needs an 8x14 inch register (or any other size that you don't make) is going to contribute to tour message board with these requests. Why not put a link on the page that lists all of the register sizes that you have available that simply asks the user to click the link if they don't see the a size that they need? Then ask them to list any sizes that they need that you don't make and ask how many of each of those sizes that they might buy. I'm sure that you'll get a lot more responses than you'll see from the message board and you'll have a great source of data collection to help you build your product offering. I'm sure there aren't enough responses to the 8x14 inch thread to justify the size. However, perhaps there are many people that visited your website, but didn't find the size they wanted and moved on because they didn't see a conspicuous option to request a new size. What better way to grow your business than to give the user a simple form with perhaps a drop down of many different known sizes that you don't make and another drop down for the quantity? Your data will be easy to analyze. Win-win!
