Help ?? for a brand new user - very small system - SETUP
Can someone answer some "basic" questions for me? I have two Flair smart vents and one puck. They are all wired directly to 12V. (no batteries.) I wanted to just be able to have both vents close when a given temperature is reached using the Puck as the thermostat. Can I do that?
Will I have a problem with the "backflow protection?" (Can't I just lie to it somewhere and say I have 6 vents?).
I can't seem to get things set up - When I try, it doesn't seem to register any vents...?
Also, I get to that question... Yes, I want to control vents/thermostat - then it asks what kind of thermostat but Flair isn't an option.
I don't get it.... :-(

Hi Chuck Heller,
Thank you for writing in and I am sorry to hear you are having issues with your initial setup.
I have created a support ticket for you and a member of our technical support team will reach out to assist you and get this all set up and working for you.
Without some more background on your HVAC setup, I cannot say for certain, but Flair should be able to do exactly what you are trying to do.
Even when using Flair alongside a non-integrated thermostat (one with which it will not communicate directly) you will need to add a thermostat to your Flair home.
If you don't have one of the specific thermostats listed you will select "Other Thermostat", give it a name and select the brand from the drop-down.
Please be on the lookout for more details from our support team.
Regards,
James
