I'd suggest adding a schedule for your office with a set point a few degrees lower than the rest of your home. Then, the vent will close prematurely before it overheats.

"Away" is available in the schedule. It's just labeled as "inactive".

MichaelB, as of today, manual mode requires you to modify each vent independently. I've not found any way to automate this.
