If you get new WiFi service, replace your router, or change the name and/or password for the WiFi network your Flair devices connect to and are having issues getting everything back online, please see the following.
The first step is to get all Flair hub devices reconnected to your home network.
Your Flair hub devices may be any of the following:
- Flair Bridge - if this is/was connected via WiFi, then it will need to be reconnected, and you can follow the instructions below starting with Step 1.
- Flair Bridge Pro - if your Bridge Pro is configured as an Access Point and has Flair devices connecting to it, you will need to get it reconnected to the home network.
- First-generation Flair Puck configured as a Gateway Puck - these connect to your home network via WiFi.
Your other Flair devices should come back online as soon as you get the above hub devices online.
Step 1: Reconnect your Bridge, Bridge Pro, or 1st-generation Gateway Pucks
If your Bridge is connected to your home network via an Ethernet cable, the above should not have caused it to drop offline.
For all other hub devices that are offline please follow the steps below.
- Reset the WiFi credentials on the device
- To reset the WiFi credentials on a Flair Bridge or Bridge Pro tap the reset button on the back of the device. This is located next to the USB-C port commonly used to power the device.
- To reset the WiFi credentials on a 1st-generation Gateway Puck, you will push the face of the Puck to enter the menus, rotate the bezel to the Settings menu, push the face of the Puck again to enter the menu and using the same movements you will select the "Forget WiFi" option, and let the Puck reboot.
- Once this is done, tap the PLUS sign in the Flair app, and select "Add Flair Bridge" or "Add Flair Puck" as appropriate.
- This will present you with a setup flow that will get your device connected to your home network.
Step 2: Sensor Pucks in a Flair home with no Flair Bridge
For systems that do not use a Flair Bridge, you need to share the new WiFi credentials with all of your First-generation Sensor Pucks. Repeat the steps below for each Sensor Puck in your Flair system:
- Push the Puck, rotate to the Gear icon, and push to select
- Rotate to "Forget WiFi" and push to select
- Wait for the Puck to reboot
Step 3: Give the rest of the system time to reconnect
Once your Bridge or Gateway Puck is back online, your Smart Vents and (in a Bridge system) your Sensor Pucks reconnect to it automatically. Give them time before changing anything else.
If some vents or Pucks are still showing as offline after that, use Network Repair Mode (Home Settings->Flair Devices) to bring them back rather than removing and re-adding them.
