Request: Floor vents and/or conversion kits
My home office in a converted attic is generally either too cool or too warm, and would benefit greatly from a smart vent. Problem: the roughly-9-by-12-inch vent is in the floor where one cannot avoid stepping on it. It currently has a heavy iron grate which I'm constantly opening and closing to moderate the temperature. Any chance you'll be offering sturdy floor-capable vents in the near future? Alternately, how about a "universal" conversion kit which would allow a reasonably handy person to adapt the Flair actuator to an existing vent?

Hey Richard, check out this post. The flair vents are made for floors - they are very well built.
Based on your needs, it seems like you don't need a smart vent in the space.... you need it everywhere else. Any chance the other vents are a more common size (that flair might have?). -
