Vent Auto closing and opening according to temperature of room
AnsweredI have a small problem
I recently bought a flair puck and smart vent to help with stabilizing one of the bedrooms in my house. The problem is that I don't know how to set the system up so that the vent opens and closes automatically based on the temperature of the room. I don't want to have to open and close it manually in the middle of the night while I'm sleeping.
I have the puck and the vent connected and set up but i need specific instructions on how to do this particular task.
Thank you for the help!

Hi Jalen,
Flair is designed to open and close Smart Vents based on the the desired temperature (set point) as follows...
First, in the Flair app, set "System" to "Auto" to tell Flair to use it's advanced automation.
Next set a whole home set point by tapping the thermometer icon at the top of the app and adjusting it to the temperature you'd like.
If you don't see the thermometer icon, you have Flair configured to read your whole home temperature from your smart thermostat, and you can adjust it there.
You can also set a separate room temperature for the room with Smart Vents. Tap the room to open the room tile, then dragging the blue dot on the circular temperature slider. This will create a room hold and display a rectangular hold indicator on the room time.
Tapping a hold indicator will let you adjust the hold time. The default hold time can be changed in the app settings under Home Settings->System Settings.
Flair will open and close Smart Vents when the room temperature is 1F higher or lower than the set point. The 1F range around the set point is called the "hysteresis band".
