Ecobee Thermostat Used as a Remote Sensor
I have an open design where the living and dining room are in the same area where the Hallway Ecobee is located. Since the ecobee thermostat is there, I've used it to keep track of temperature for these areas. I recently installed two flair vents in the area. In the flair app, I've noticed that you cannot select the ecobee thermostat as a remote sensor so for this area the flair app shows as not having temperature data. I know in ecobee, it considers the thermostat itself as a sensor. Not sure if I am configuring something incorrectly in flair?

Hi Ryan,
Add the thermostat to the room.
- Tap the room, tap the 3-dot menu, and then select "Devices"
- Tap "Thermostats" and select the thermostat
All the best,
Finn

Correct. The Ecobee Thermostat is configured as the Thermostats for each room for the same cooling/heating zone. When I remove a remote sensor, just as your screenshot shows as configured, without any pucks or remote sensors, the behavior I see is that then the room does not have any temperature data and I am able to control the vents manually. I am unable to select the ecobee thermostat as a "remote sensor".

Hi Ryan,
Zone selection is different than assigning a thermostat to a room. Once you assign a thermostat (or other temperature sensing device) to the room, it will display the blue temperature selector.
The remote sensor selection is in “Settings” under “Remote Sensors” - a thermostat will not be listed here. Thermostat are listed just below it in under “Thermostats”. When you tap “Thermostats” do you see your thermostat listed there - and can you tap it to select it?
All the best,

Yep. It was already selected.
