How much weight can the vent hold? Structural strength, Weight limit

Hey Flair!

I'm wondering what sort of weight (with safety factor) each vent type can support. I love that the vents are all-metal and feel very sturdy. I'd like to use on in my kitchen, but the chairs may sometimes have a leg on the vent.

Any details would be fantastic! Thanks!

i.e. Can a 250 lb person stand on one? Furniture? 0.5 in^2 point loads (chair leg)? etc.

    Years ago, we measured the strength to ensure compliance with the fire code which had a certain weight applied across a circular area with a 2" diameter (I think) and passed.  The front plates are 1mm steel, similar to most other vents and quite strong.  All that to say, the should be fine with a chair legs.
