Puck + Thermostat in same room?
Having a difficult time figuring this out.
I'm setting up a system that will include 12 smart vents spread across 3 floors. The thermostat (a Honeywell Total Control model) is on the middle floor - there will be no smart vents on this floor, only on the upper and lower floors.
Do I need to place a puck on this main floor near the thermostat or is that redundant? Seems unnecessary but it's not clear one way or the other. Thanks!

You shouldn't need one for control in the middle floor however you may need to use a puck as a gateway on the middle floor in order for it to have the range to reach the devices on the first and upper floors. When you are setting things up you will connect the Flair system to your Honeywell portal. The Flair system will still display the temperature being read by the Honeywell stat in the app.
