loss of smart thermostat pre-heating
One of the features I enjoyed from ecobee (and previously nest) is that based on outside temp they would start heating the house early so that it would reach the specified temp at the set time. The heat up time for the house is highly dependent on the outside temp mid-winter so this was a nice learning feature. But with flair I have no way to do this pre-heating. If I don't disable it on the ecobee it starts preheating with backup heat even when I'm on the minisplits. Is there any way to achieve this temp driven preheating with flair?

Hi Steve McAfee,
Thanks for this great question.
Since you are using our Staged Heating controls, your Flair home has to use Set Point Controller = Flair App. Given this, we write set points to your thermostat to engage and disengage it. As you are already aware, you cannot use the pre-heating feature from ecobee in this scenario.
Your best bet would be to create a couple of different schedules in Flair that capture the changing realities at different times of the year. Perhaps one of these schedules sets a higher set point 30 minutes earlier to get the heat started during the coldest months.
