Lost the ability to 50% in manual mode

Today my vents in manual mode (wife thinks they’re too loud for auto) stopped allowing me to close them to 50%. The “slider” (why is it a slider if it’s binary?) is now just flipping between open and closed. How do I get back the functionality I paid for?

    Hi Jonathan,

    As you noticed, a release on September 10th removed the ability to use the 50% open feature.  This was not the intent of the release, and we have restored the ability for users to set vents to 50% open when Flair is in Manual as well as via the API.

    Could you please clarify what you mean by "we have restored the ability for users to set vents to 50% open when Flair is in Manual as well as via the APP"? I am unable to select a 50% percent position despite having downloaded the latest APP (version 4.0.1). Can you confirm what needs to be done to regain the 50% functionality?

    Hi Stel K,

    Great question.  My apologies for not explaining this completely.

    We disabled the 50% option for all Flair homes created after 9/9/2025.  It appears that yours was created on 9/18/2025.  If you wish to use the 50% option (available only when the home is in Manual mode), please email support@flair.co and let us know.  We can enable this on a home-by-home basis.
