    Hi David,

I would like to talk to you further about your Smart Vents but in a support request. Can you create a ticket by going to www.flair.co/contact ?

There are 2 options for ensuring a greater seal if you are hearing a whistling on your Smart Vents.

    1) Our newer models allow us to adjust the close strength remotely.

    2) We have silicon strips available upon request through a support request by following the above link.

    All the best,

    Dan T.

They do close the vent 100% but there is some minor air leakage.  It's not much at all but I think they let some through on purpose so they can measure the temp, pressure, etc.

I have submitted a ticket, but never got an answer as to “how do I adjust closing strength?” I still would like to try the silicone strips as well. The vent in my daughters room is so close to the AC, so when her vent closes it whistles.

Hoops - try removing the vent itself (not just the decorative cover) and turn it 180 degrees. Sometimes just having the air hit a vent's louvers from a different direction is all you need
