This article will tell you how to add an additional user to your Flair home. If you would like to transfer the admin rights (ownership) of your Flair home to someone else please see Transfer a Flair Home.
To add a user to your Flair account, perform the following steps:
- In the Flair app, tap the Flair menu
- Tap Home Settings
- Tap Users
- In the Users tab enter the email address of the user you would like to add in the "Invitation Email" field.
- Select one of the following options:
- "User can make changes to this home" - this user is known as an "Editor" and will be able to change settings, schedules, etc...
- "User can only view this home" - this user is known as a "Viewer" and will not have permission to edit set points for rooms, change the Mode, or perform other basic operational control of the Flair system.
- This option is useful if you want to use geolocation from several phones while preventing the user from making changes to settings, etc...
- Tap the "Tap to send invitation" button immediately below.
- Please note that the app will display the word "Pending" next to the invitee until the invitee accepts the invitation.
- The user who needs to accept the invitation should see the steps below.
Accept a User Invitation
Click the link in the invitation email to accept the invitation. Log into your Flair account or sign up for a new account. When signing up, please use the same email address to which the invitation email was sent.
Follow the steps below to accept the invitation:
- In the Flair app, tap the Flair menu and tap "Invitations"
- When the invitation displays, tap to accept
