If Flair and your Smart Thermostat seem to be out of sync you may need to repair the integration. Often this presents as Flair Smart Vents operating as though the thermostat is in COOL mode when it is actually in HEAT mode (or vice-versa).
To repair the Flair <-> Smart Thermostat integration please follow the steps below.
Remove the Existing Smart Thermostat Integration
- In the Flair app, tap the Main Menu button, tap Home Settings, and tap to enter the Integrations tab
- Tap the smart thermostat integration so you can see the details.
- Select "Delete Integration"
- Confirm by tapping the trash icon
- Please remain in the Integrations tab for the next step of the process and follow the steps below.
Re-add the Smart Thermostat Integration
Note: Before integrating a Smart Thermostat please ensure the thermostat is in Auto, Heat, or Cool mode. If the thermostat is in OFF mode your integration attempt will likely fail.
- From the Integrations tab please tap the brand of smart thermostat you wish to integrate.
- The integration window will open and you will sign in to your smart thermostat account
- The exact steps below may differ depending on the manufacturer (ecobee, Honeywell, Nest, etc...)
- You will authorize the integration by agreeing to the terms.
- Select the smart thermostat(s) you wish to integrate
- Tap "Connect"
- Tap "Associate [xxxx] Location" and select the smart thermostat room
- Please follow the on-screen instructions to configure several settings related to your smart thermostat.
Note: If you are using Flair's Staged Heating feature to switch between mini split(s) and fossil fuel-based heating systems, rooms with mini splits will need to be in both the thermostat and mini split zones (as shown below).
