Batteries typically last 3-4 years in a Flair Smart Vent.
Please follow the instructions below when it's time to replace the batteries in one of your Smart Vents.
- Remove the Smart Vent Cover.
- Depending on the size, there will be 2-4 screws holding the vent cover in place. These screws have a plastic washer on the inside of the cover and should not fall off the vent cover. Please loosen these screws carefully so the vent cover does not fall.
- Remove the Front Battery Holder and old batteries.
- There will be two screws holding the Front Battery Holder in place. These screws should also remain in the Front Battery Holder once they are loosened enough, but be aware that the Front Battery Holder and the batteries will fall if they are not properly secured during removal.
- Insert two new, 1.5V Alkaline C batteries.
- Reattach the Front Battery Holder
- Please ensure that you hold it firmly in place from the time it first makes battery contact until the two screws are secured.
- Please ensure that when the batteries are replaced, the LED on the vent activates and the louvers cycle.
- Reattach the Smart Vent Cover.
