A MAC address is the unique identifier your router uses to recognize a device on your network. Your Flair Bridge has two network interfaces: WiFi and Ethernet, and thus has two unique MAC addresses. You may need one of these MAC addresses for several reasons
- If you have an allowlist, whitelist, or MAC filtering enabled for security purposes you will need to add this MAC address to the whitelist or allowlist on your router. This is typically a Wi-Fi security measure, so you will need the Wi-Fi MAC address.
- If you wish to set up a Static IP / DHCP Reservation for the Bridge on your router, you will need the appropriate MAC address for the connection method (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) that you plan to use.
Where do I find my Bridge's MAC addresses?
Your Bridge’s MAC addresses are shown in the Flair app, on the settings page for that Bridge.
- Open the Flair app.
- Go to Home Settings.
- Tap Flair Devices.
- Tap the Bridge or Bridge Pro you want the address for.
- If your Bridge is currently connected to your home network via Wi-Fi, you will see the WiFi MAC Address listed.
- If your Bridge is currently connected to your home network via Ethernet, you will see the Ethernet MAC Address listed.
Both of these values are read-only.
