Noise when Vent close

Can I adjust closing vent? Or Maybe have same idea how fix noise? I have little noise when vent close, if little push manually to vent noise is gone.

    The rubber band solution may not be a long-term solution to this due to the heat coming out of the ducts.

    Please contact our support team and we can assist you further.

    We can possibly adjust the Close Tightness setting on the Vent and if that doesn't work may have other ideas for you.

    I fixed this with a rubber band on the back of the vanes. Its only one vent that does this for me.

    It's more than a little noise. I was able to get one of them to stop making noise by turning it around... But I suspect that this is a regular problem. Does Flair have any suggestions?

    Flair can adjust closing level, so air will less leaking

    Hi Flair folks, I am also experiencing air noise when vents are closed. My vents are for A/C only, not heat. Support had attempted to adjust the closing pressure but I didn't hear any difference.I want to add a few more Flair vents on my lower floor to force more cool air to the second floor, but the noise is excessive when closed. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    Hi Leigh, if you will remove decoration panel, will you still have noice, in my case i was add window/door seals between decoration panel and vent

    Can I add links here? Here is the vent running open, and at around 8 seconds you can hear the vent close, followed by lots of air noise. Is this considered "normal"?

    Andri, thanks for the suggestion. Are you saying to put a weather seal around the perimeter of the vent? In my case, the air noise is coming from the fins of the vent.

    This Flair solution is great in theory, but in my experience the excessive air noise makes it difficult to live with.

    Andrii, thanks for the suggestions. I'm wondering if the rubber band trick might work. Can anyone explain how the rubber bands would be installed? Does this solve the "whooshing" air noise, or is it more for the whistling noise problem?

    I just purchased some flair vents for my home and had the same problem. VERY loud and high pitched whistling when the vents were closed. 

    I did some investigating and figured out the noise was coming from air passing AROUND the vent and through the slotted vent holes on long sides of the vent. 

    I solved this by getting some peel and stick weather stripping from home depot and lining it around the vent between the wall and the vent. I ensured that the slotted mounting holes were fully covered. This eliminated the loud whistling sound. You can still hear some air pass through the vent itself, but it is not at a frequency/volume that is annoying like it was before (similar to white noise and about the same volume as when then vent is open and flowing air.)

    With the vent cover on, I had the same issue, but to a much lesser degree, so I did the same between the vent and vent cover and it resolved that issue.

    For anyone following this issue. I found a much better solution.

    I needed some adapters for 14 x 8 vents. I found a vendor on Etsy selling 3D-printed adapters. I used 14 x 6 Flair vents for the 14 x 8 openings with the adapters. It worked great and I thought it would work well to seal up the gaps on the other vents that had the whistling. 

    So, I reached out and they made me a trim kit for my 6 x 10 vents. They worked perfect and stopped the whistling completely with no rubber seals needed. I just covered the unused holes with foil tape to ensure no air passed through.
