Flair with Wall Furnace on Ecobee + Mini Split
AnsweredHoping someone can help me think through this... I have a Rinnai wall furnace. which I'm planning to attach to a wired Ecobee thermostat so I can control it remotely. I also have a single zone Futitsu mini split which I'd also like to control remotely.
My assumption was I was going to have to control these from separate apps... but reading through the Flair website I'm left thinking maybe there's a holy grail here of being able to manage all of this one a central place?
For example, if I get the Flair puck to control the mini split, how does the Ecobee integration work? Can use the Ecobee app and control both the heat of the direct-wired Rinnai wall furnace *and* the Fujitsu mini split (via the Flair puck)? Or, conversely, does it mean I use the Flair app to then control both the furnace attached to the Ecobee and then the mini split natively within the Flair app?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for your question! We do have a mode called Mini Split Mirror Mode. That mode basically allows the mini split to mirror exactly what your ecobee is doing. One thing to keep in mind is that Mirror Mode is not supported if your mini split has both heat and cool (which many do) and your ecobee only has heat (which it sounds like in this situation).
What might be the easiest way to use the Puck in this situation would be to use our scheduling with your mini split. You can set the on/off, temperature, etc to work with your home climate goals! If you have any more questions, feel free to raise a request with our customer support team. They'll be able to guide you through your use case.
