    I've had this happen several times as well. Even with good signal strength. Vent goes unresponsive to commands, but still reports its status as either open or closed. Can't change it even in manual mode. Its been very frustrating for me.

    I've had it where all vents were closed due to this issue. I can't imagine the struggle my furnace was going through with it :O

    Had to remove the batteries, wait 2 min, then reinstall batteries. Seems to be a temporary fix. If my furnace or AC fails prematurely, I wonder who is on the hook for the cost?
