The "Local IR Control" feature allows control of a mini split or IR device when the Puck is offline.
If a Puck goes offline schedules and other Flair automation will no longer run. When this happens you can still use the Puck to send set point changes or turn a mini split on or off.
If you're not home and Smart Away is configured, Flair's Local Smart Away will kick on your IR Device to keep the room within your Smart Away bounds.
If you expect the Puck to be offline for an extended period of time you can use the manufacturer's remote control. Once the Puck is back online you should discontinue use of the manufacturer's remote.
