A room hold is a new set point for a room. A room hold can be set in the Flair app by rotating the round temperature slider on the room tile, or by rotating a Puck in a room.
You can set a room hold for any room. Flair will then open and close Smart Vents to adjust the temperature of that room to your hold temperature for the duration of that hold.
This room is holding at 76F.
Default Hold Duration
The Default Hold Duration is located in Home Settings->System Settings. This setting affects the hold duration for all rooms. We recommend setting the Default Hold Duration to "Until next scheduled event". This will allow a schedule event to interrupt a hold. If you do not want schedule events to interrupt a hold, set it to "Forever".
If you set up your Flair App before April 15, 2018, your default hold duration is 3 hours.
If you set up your Flair App after April 15, 2018, your default hold duration is "forever" (meaning it's permanent until changed, or the hold is released).
If you set up your Flair App after January 1, 2021, your default hold duration is "Until next scheduled event".
Modify or Cancel a Room Hold
To modify the temperature of a room hold, drag the round slider on the room tile.
To modify the hold duration for a room, tap the hold indicator and tap the calendar to adjust. If the default hold duration is "Until next scheduled event", the hold cannot be adjusted.
To cancel the hold, tap the hold indicator and select Clear. The set point for that room will revert back to the set point from your thermostat or your set point for your home. If you have an active schedule, the currently scheduled event will run.
Note: When a Flair home is set to Away, all holds will be cleared and not restored when the home is set back to Home.
