Bridge
The Flair Bridge runs on AC power and comes with a USB-C to USB-A cable and adapter designed to plug into a standard outlet.
Bridge Pro
The Flair Bridge Pro runs on AC power and comes with a USB-C to USB-A cable and adapter designed to plug into a standard outlet. Additionally, the Bridge Pro can be powered by 24 VAC.
Pucks
Every Flair Puck comes with two powering options:
- a micro-USB to USB-A cable and adapter designed to plug into a standard outlet.
- two 1.5V AAA lithium batteries. Both Lithium and Alkaline batteries will work. We ship the Puck with Lithium batteries because they will normally power the Puck longer and also have a longer shelf life. With normal usage, either battery chemistry will last 1-2 years. Flair monitors the voltage readings on your batteries and can send an email alert when the batteries need to be replaced. Puck voltage readings should be above 2.8V.
Gateway Pucks
When configured as a Gateway Puck the WiFi radio is on all the time and thus the Puck uses much more power than when it is configured as a Sensor Puck. Due to this extra power draw Gateway Pucks must be plugged in using the supplied micro-USB cord and adapter.
Sensor Pucks
When configured as a Sensor Puck the WiFi radio is on VERY rarely and thus there is a largely reduced power draw on Sensor Pucks. As a result, Sensor Pucks may be powered using 1.5V AAA batteries or plugged in using the supplied micro-USB cord and adapter.
Additional Puck Powering Options
The Flair USB Mount is a great option for new installs. Its custom design fits snugly into walls for a secure placement.
The USB Wall Plate easily snaps into any outlet - no electrician is required! It's cost-effective and code-compliant.
Smart Vents
Smart Vents come with two 1.5V C batteries and can be optionally wired using a 24 VAC transformer (not included). With normal usage, batteries in a Smart Vent will last about 3-4 years. Please use only 1.5V C batteries in your Flair Smart Vents. Voltage readings for your Smart Vents should be 2.5V or above. Low battery notifications are generated when the reading is below 2.4V
Low Battery Alerts
Flair monitors battery life and can send low battery alerts by email and/or push notification. You can sign up for notifications in the Flair app's Account Settings menu (example below).
