A set point is the desired temperature for your home. When you walk over to your thermostat and choose a temperature, you are changing the thermostat "set point". This is also similar to using your remote to change the temperature of a mini split.
In Flair, you can define a set point for your home, and, optionally, create set points for individual rooms. For central systems, Flair will operate Smart Vents to keep rooms within a 1F range around the current set point. For mini split systems, Flair will send new set points to the mini split (Room Sense is available for mini splits than require a little more help).
To change a room's set point, you'll rotate the Puck located in that room, or rotate the room's temperature slider in the Flair app. Flair also allows changing set points via a schedule.
If your smart thermostat is integrated into Flair, Flair can optionally raise or lower the smart thermostat set point. This is similar to walking over to the smart thermostat and raising or lowering the temperature to make your home more comfortable. When Flair adjusts the set point on a smart thermostat, we call it "nudging" because we do it a little bit over time. Flair considers the set points in Active rooms to determine how much to raise or lower a smart thermostat set point. This is a setting in Flair called "Set Point Controller".
Flair can also automatically adjust the set point on a mini split based on the temperature read from the Puck vs the temperature read from the mini split. This is a setting in Flair called "Room Sense".
