When you interact directly with a thermostat or mini split the desired temperature you establish on that device is known as a "set point".
Set points in Flair are applied to a Flair room.
For Flair rooms that contain a mini split the set point represents the temperature you wish to achieve for that room and is used to determine when Flair should engage or disengage heating and cooling cycles on that mini split.
For Flair rooms that contain Smart Vents the set point will determine when the Smart Vents in that room open and close.
If Flair is configured to write set points to an integrated smart thermostat the set point for active Flair rooms that are assigned to the thermostat zone will be used to calculate the comfort needs of the zone
The set point for a Flair room can be established in several ways:
- if a Flair Puck is the temperature-sensing device for the room you can rotate the bezel of the Puck
- via the room's set point slider in the Flair app
- via an event in your Flair schedule
- via an integrated voice assistant (Amazon Alexa or Hey Google)
If Flair is configured to write set points to your thermostat you will establish a default home set point in the Flair App. This default home set point is applied to Flair rooms anytime no other set point is in place.
