Flair manufactures several products that are explained below.
Bridge
Bridge Pro
Gateway Puck
Sensor Puck
Smart Vents
Bridge
The Flair Bridge acts as a communication hub for your Flair system. It is powered via AC using a USB-C cable and adapter. It can connect to your home network via Ethernet (cable supplied) or a 2.4 GHz WiFi network. The Flair Bridge does not read and report temperature. End devices (Sensor Pucks, Smart Vents, and Bridge Pros) can connect to the Bridge.
The Bridge has two mounting holes on the bottom of the unit that can be used to mount the Bridge to a wall.
Bridge Pro
Gateway Puck
A Gateway Puck, like a Bridge, acts as a communication hub for your Flair system. It is powered via the supplied micro-USB cable and adapter. You must use the supplied USB cable and adapter as our USB cables are unique. Gateway Pucks connect to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network and cannot be powered via batteries. Both the Flair Bridge and Flair Gateway Pucks create an RF (radio frequency) “mesh” network that Flair end devices (Sensor Puck, Smart Vent, Bridge Pro) will connect to. Gateway Pucks have temperature and humidity sensors and can sense and report both.
Sensor Puck
A Sensor Puck is the same physical hardware as a Gateway Puck. Sensor Pucks can be powered via the supplied micro-USB cable and adapter or via 2 AAA batteries. Sensor Pucks are an end device and will connect to a Flair Bridge or Gateway Puck via the proprietary Flair RF network broadcast by the Flair Bridge(s) and Gateway Puck(s). Out of the box, all Flair Pucks are configured as Sensor Pucks. Sensor Pucks have a temperature sensor and a humidity sensor and can sense and report both.
Smart Vents
Flair Smart Vents are powered by 2 C Alkaline batteries. Flair Smart Vents are an end device that will connect to a Flair Bridge or Gateway Puck via the proprietary Flair RF network those devices broadcast. Smart Vents have a temperature sensor and as needed can determine when your central system is heating or cooling.
