One of the amazing new features of our 2nd-generation Flair Puck, aka Puck 2, is the Auto Remote Lookup feature.
Finding the right code set to control your IR device or mini split can be tricky, but Auto Remote Lookup is here to help!
Auto Remote Lookup can be used during the initial setup of a new IR device or when changing the code set on an existing IR device via the "Reset Model Number" wizard.
During IR setup, Flair will first try to find a code set match by asking you to input the model number of your manufacturer's remote. If that does not result in a working code set, you will be asked to input the model number of the mini split or IR device. If neither of these results in a code set that correctly controls your equipment, and you have a Puck 2, you will be directed to our Auto Remote Lookup feature. At this point, you will use the Puck 2 to capture (i.e., record) an IR code from your manufacturer's remote. Behind the scenes, Flair will search our large database of code sets to determine whether we have a matching code set.
If you have an existing mini split setup and need to change the code set, you can access the "Reset Model Number" wizard using the instructions below.
