How do I use a puck for a gateway only in unconditioned space?

I moved my puck to its permanent location in by the network closet, reasonably central in the house.

This is unconditioned space, but when I created the room Flair insisted that I select a HVAC zone.

How do I ensure that the puck is only used as a gateway, and not for any zone control?

  Not sure, but I would guess that it must be part of your home hvac. I would put it in its own "room" and set it to "away".

  Hi Pieter Viljoen,

  Sal is correct. Place the Puck in a separate room and set it to Inactive. This will prevent Flair from using the Puck temperature readings in its automation.
