If you are converting a Sensor Puck to a Gateway Puck please follow the steps below.
- Remove the batteries
- Plug the Puck into AC power using the supplied USB cable and adapter or a Flair USB mount.
- Push down on the face of the Puck to enter the menus
- Rotate to the Settings menu (gear icon)
- Push down on the face of the Puck to select
- Rotate to "Make Gateway"
- Push down on the face of the Puck to select
- Wait 60 seconds for the Puck to fully reboot
This Puck will likely already have the WiFi credentials needed to connect to your home WiFi. Please ensure the Puck is in an area of your home with good WiFi coverage during and after conversion.
The WiFi icon will appear indicating its connection to your home WiFi. More bars indicate stronger signal strength.
If the Puck does not connect to your WiFi you will see an x through the WiFi symbol on the Puck. If this happens try the following:
- Do a "Forget WiFi" on the Gateway Puck
- Push down on the face of the Puck to enter the menus
- Rotate to the Settings menu (gear icon)
- Push down on the face of the Puck to select
- Rotate to "Forget WiFi"
- Push down on the face of the Puck to select
- Wait 60 seconds for the Puck to fully reboot
- Run WiFi Setup in the Flair app
- Tap the PLUS sign
- Tap Add Flair Pucks
- Tap Add a Gateway Puck
- Follow the in-app wizard to connect the Gateway Puck to your home WiFi
