If you have the "Thermostat API Unreachable" notification enabled, Flair will send a notification if Flair cannot communicate with your integrated smart thermostat.
Why does a smart thermostat go offline?
A smart thermostat will go offline if it experiences server connectivity issues that prevent communication with 3rd party applications, like Flair. Check with your smart thermostat support to see if they are experiencing any issues that affect communication with 3rd party applications.
Check your smart thermostat app to verify that linking with Flair is still enabled.
If your smart thermostat is not experiencing connectivity issues, try re-integrating your thermostat.
Re-Integrate a Smart Thermostat
Warning: Do not re-integrate your smart thermostat if you have a Nest thermostat integrated with Flair. Removing your Nest integration will be permanent and you will not be able to re-integrate your Nest thermostat with Flair.
If you have a Honeywell or ecobee smart thermostat integrated with Flair, follow these steps to remove and re-integrate the thermostat with Flair.
In the Flair app...
- Go to Home Settings->Integrations
- Tap "Remove Integration"
- Tap the red X to confirm
- Go to Home Settings->Thermostats
- Tap "Add new Thermostat"
- Follow the prompts to re-integrate your smart thermostat
